Welcome!
I am so excited to be your child's reading teacher this school year. My goal this year is to make reading fun. I will embrace every opportunity to foster a love of reading and a desire for knowledge through a wide variety of different teaching techniques and types of schoolwork. However, I will need your child to do their part and work hard this year to ensure they reach their full potential. Reading is an acquired skill and they must practice this skill daily to grow. By working together, I know that we can make sure your child has the best chance for success.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Liebhaber
Homework
We will read novels for homework this school year! The homework routine is same throughout the year and it is listed below. You will need to check your child's agenda book for details. The only time we detour from our routine is at the end of novel when students are assigned a project.
1. Read assigned pages
2. Complete vocabulary log
3. Complete reading handout
4. Study spelling words
Summer Reading
At the end of each school year, upcoming 4th graders, who are registered, will recieve a novel for their summer reading project. All students leaving 4th grade will have a summer reading challenge. Please see my summer reading page for details.
